Trust on the road

The CarniFete Verified Standard

The Verified badge helps masqueraders identify businesses that have completed CarniFete’s Business Readiness Check and meet our baseline trust standard.

The 4 readiness questions

Verification is based on these plain-language checks.

Business registration

The business or organization confirms it is legally registered, incorporated, or otherwise recognized in its operating region.

Payment readiness

The business confirms it has, or is ready to create, the Stripe account needed to receive payments safely through CarniFete.

Online presence

The business confirms it maintains an official website, Instagram, Facebook, or similar public presence that helps masqueraders verify legitimacy.

Community standards

The business agrees to uphold CarniFete community guidelines, ethical business practices, and fair treatment of masqueraders.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Verified badge guarantee every transaction?

No. The badge means the business has met CarniFete’s Verified Standard based on the four readiness questions and platform review. Masqueraders should still review event, costume, and vendor details before purchasing.

Can a business lose verification?

Yes. CarniFete may remove verification if a business no longer meets the standard or violates community guidelines.

Do non-verified businesses get labeled as unverified?

No. If a business is not verified, CarniFete simply shows no badge.
